  I love this place. I come here for good homemade dishes. This is true authentic food and worth the wait. I will always be coming back here, especially since they have vegan cheese and vegan horchata.

  Now in advance I'm going to go out on a limb and request those reading pardon my ignorance, but when a business post business hours....
  
  Typically the logic behind their doing so is out of anticipation that the public is going to adhere to them, right???

  One trip here has led me to derive upon the conclusion that the staff at Fernanda's Salvadorian will get to you.....well, when they feel like getting to you.
  
  Veering against my typical Mexican go to, I thought I'd try something new.
  
  "Rough trading" on Date Palm, a healthy 4.5 star Yelp acquiescence solidified that I was in relatively good hands as I entered this place 45 minutes prior to closing.
  
  "Welcome, sir. Table for one?"
  
  (.....scratches head.....)
  
  Wait a second. My mistake, as such the salutation actually took place within my mind.  
  
  I ....was more so greeted with, "Will this be for carry out?", yet upon rebuttling with, "No", I was met with, "We're not seating walk ins now."
  
  (.....scratches head a second time.....)
  
  Reminder: Buy more Head N' Shoulders.
  
  Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought I'd entered a restaurant...... NOT a barbershop as I exited just as famished as I'd entered.
  
  "Pretty woman won't you pardon me?"
  
  Uhm....
  
  * Maybe they ran out of food.
  
  * Maybe they've just got money to burn.
  
  * Maybe they thought I was a harlot hobbling in to rob the joint!
  
  ..... Maybe, it's Maybelline!!!
  
  Mercy! The world will never know.
  
  But similar to Julia Roberts in "Pretty Woman", the fact that I dished out $40.00+ on a meal for self just next door is all the more proof that this place made a BIG MISTAKE!!!, and I'm nonetheless thankful that I chose to take my duckets where they're appreciated.
  
  Here's a bit of a footnote Fernanda's: "I appreciate this whole seduction thing you've got going on here, but let me give you a tip: I'M A SURE THING."

  This place is a cute little place. Food was delicious and waitresses were really nice and attentive. I wish they had a place like this back home. I will definitely come back if we're ever in the area again

  We had read that there were good reviews on this restaurant so we decided to go there for dinner. The menu is not very large but the quality of food definitely speaks for itself. The Papoosa's were a very good size and very tasty and came with a side of salsa and shredded veggies that were pickled to put on top. I also ordered a mango margarita which was very flavorful. The service was very good and the staff was very friendly. The only drawback was that it was slightly warm in the restaurant and I'm sure the air-conditioning worked but it may not be big enough to put out enough cooling for the whole restaurant. We would come back here and recommend this to friends and family who would be in the neighborhood.

  I had intended to go next door, to La Palapa.  However, I've been on a Salvadoran food kick, so I wandered in here, instead.  
  
  I was seated in the rear of the restaurant.  I don't mind, but it struck me as a little strange that everyone was seated in the back.  Only one couple was seated near the front.   In the center was a large table that was set up with a reserved sign.
  
  The decor inside kinda took me by surprise.  I kinda liked it.  Fake doorways and fake windows.  It gave a feel of a small village.  
  
  I was super hungry.  I ended up ordering an appetizer of yuca con chicarrón.  I also asked for a bean and cheese pupusa and a chicharrón pupusa.  
  
  I was brought a little plate with a small cup of bean dip.  For years, the best bean dip I've had is a small place called La Villa, in Gardena, CA.  Fernanda's beats their bean dip.  However, you get maybe 8 chips.   On the menu, I saw that you could order more.
  
  The pupusas came first.   Nice size on them.  They were a little thicker than what I have seen lately.   The chicharrón was a little saltier than I expected.   It wasn't too salty, but the curtido really helped tone it down a little.The cheese and bean one was just fine.    The majority of the cheese was in the edges.  The center was mostly beans.  
  The curtido was interesting.  I'm used to something that is super vinegary, a little spicy, and a hint of oregano.  This one had thin slices of jalapeño.   I liked it, but it didn't have that pickled flavor that I expect with curtido.
  
  The yuca plate was a nice surprise.  The yuca was perfectly cooked.  It was crispy on the outside and fluffy soft on the inside.    The chicharrón was super fried.  There were several chunks of it.   They were dry, but that is exactly how I want it.   The salsa served with it had no flavor, but it did add a little moisture to the chicharrón.  I appreciated that the plate also had a few delicious sliced ripe tomatoes, a slice of cucumber, and a spoonful of curtido.
  
  I had to ask for a tea refill and for the check.   One of the ladies who helped me was super friendly.  The other, well, she was efficient.
  
  The music was an eclectic mix of Caribbean style music.
